Inspired by the infamous 1978 Ranga-Billa case, 'Raakh' delves into the dark underbelly of crime and human depravity. The series masterfully reconstructs the era, creating a palpable sense of unease that permeates every frame. At its heart, it's a police procedural following Sub-Inspector Jayprakash Jatav's relentless hunt for two teenagers who have vanished, a case that shatters a family and grips a city in fear. The narrative skillfully juxtaposes the investigation with the chilling backstory of the perpetrators, offering a disturbing anatomy of how monsters are made.

The performances are a standout, with Ali Fazal delivering a measured and impactful portrayal of the determined officer. However, it is Akash Makhija and Ramandeep Yadav as the killers, Babu and Rajjo, who truly steal the show with their chilling and unsettling performances.
