Who publishes the reviews

Reviews are published under the HB Reviews editorial identity. AI assists with research and drafting, while the application applies fixed scoring, sourcing and quality checks. Each review links back to this method and displays when its research was last updated.

How a review is created

  1. HB confirms the exact movie or series and checks whether a published review exists.
  2. It gathers current TMDb title details and relevant credible public sources.
  3. It produces an original, spoiler-free assessment rather than copying source opinions.
  4. It assesses story, writing, storytelling, direction, production craft, acting and sound.
  5. Automated quality, spoiler and source checks run before publication.
  6. The public review shows its evidence links and latest research date.

How the HB score works

Every review uses the same seven categories: story, writing, storytelling, direction, production craft, acting and sound. The application converts those category assessments into a five-point HB rating and a separate entertainment-value label. The public breakdown remains visible so readers can understand the verdict instead of relying on one number.

The TMDb audience score, when available, is shown separately and is never presented as the HB score. Availability information is factual guidance and can change by platform or region.

Evidence, updates and corrections

Sources support release facts, creative context and the review assessment; they are not copied into the review. HB prioritises official and credible sources, exposes the source list on every published review and refreshes research when stronger or newer information becomes available.

If a title, release detail, source or assessment needs correction, use Support. Corrections are reviewed against current evidence, and materially updated reviews display their new research date.

Editorial purpose
