Zoya Akhtar's 'Dil Dhadakne Do' sets sail on a luxurious cruise, ostensibly to celebrate the 30th wedding anniversary of the wealthy Mehra family, but beneath the glittering surface lies a tapestry of unspoken resentments, unfulfilled dreams, and strained relationships. The film masterfully uses the confined setting of the ship to explore the dynamics between patriarch Kamal Mehra (Anil Kapoor), his wife Neelam (Shefali Shah), their independent daughter Ayesha (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), and their aimless son Kabir (Ranveer Singh). The narrative, while occasionally meandering, is elevated by a stellar ensemble cast whose performances are uniformly excellent.

Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah are particularly compelling as the couple whose marriage is a facade, while Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Ranveer Singh bring a relatable vulnerability to their characters' struggles with love and identity. Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma also shine in their supporting roles, adding layers to the romantic subplots. The cinematography captures the opulence of the cruise and the beauty of the Mediterranean, creating a visually rich experience.

While the film's extended runtime and a somewhat predictable climax have been noted as minor drawbacks, the sharp dialogue, engaging character arcs, and the underlying emotional resonance make 'Dil Dhadakne Do' a thoroughly watchable and often poignant family drama.
