Bhooth Bangla

Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, attempts to recapture the magic of his earlier horror-comedies, but largely falls short. The film stars Akshay Kumar in a dual role, alongside a large ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi. The premise involves a man inheriting a haunted palace and planning his sister's wedding there, only to be confronted by supernatural events and local legends.

While the acting, particularly from Kumar, is a saving grace, the film's technical aspects and overall direction, though decent, do not elevate the material significantly.

Ultimately, Bhooth Bangla is a film that tries to blend scares and laughs but ends up being more of a familiar, albeit occasionally amusing, rehash.
